Enter via Gate 3 of the MCG to discover Australia’s largest sporting collection inside the National Sports Museum, and experience behind-the-scenes access to one of the world’s most iconic stadiums.
• The National Sports Museum is open daily from 10am-5pm (except on MCG event days – see modified hours below).
• Guided MCG tours depart regularly between 10.00am and 3.00pm daily, and take approximately 75 minutes (except on MCG event days – see modified hours below).
Visitors purchasing their tickets online are able to join any single tour on the selected date of their ticket – this includes selecting the ‘from 10am’ option on Ticketek.
MCG Tours and the National Sports Museum are available on all non-match days except Christmas Day, Melbourne Cup Day and Good Friday.
MODIFIED HOURS ON MCG EVENT DAYS
National Sports Museum and MCG tour operating hours may be modified when the MCG is hosting an event. Unless stated in the PDF below, operating hours will run as usual.
On event days, the National Sports Museum and MCG tours will be open to the public where possible. Click here for modified opening hours.
The National Sports Museum tickets cost half price during MCG event mode for event ticket holders. Event mode commences when MCG gates open and the museum closes just prior to the commencement of the match.
